Jeans to Dornoch Dress Sewing Pattern - How to refashion & upcycle jeans to a dress - Full tutorial including step by step photos
Be creative and turn old or unused jeans into a pretty dress. The Jeans to Dornoch Dress has a comfortable A-line shape with front pockets, back zipper, ruffle, bias binding armholes and neckline. Add your own personal stamp in your choice of fabric for the ruffle and binding. We love choosing the fabric and are big fans of Liberty and William Morris which go so well with the denim. Wear sleeveless in the summer or it is great with a long sleeve turtleneck in the winter.
Ages 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16
Step-by-step instructions with photos and illustrations
One page Quick Guide
PDF US Letter/A4 Print at Home Pattern plus option for A0 Printing
Environmentally friendly - reuse textiles and reduce landfill
Zipper back closure
Full detailed instructions with photos for inserting zipper and making your own bias binding if you wish to do so (shop bought is fine too though)
33" or 34" long jeans are the best but the pattern also includes instructions to easily modify it if this size of jeans is not available. The dress in the Pattern Cover Page was made with 31" jeans and is age 14.
